In this informal business session with author David Siegel, David will talk about the new way that people will use information. David will introduce the general concepts of pull and discuss how to apply the principles of pull to your project or business. David will ask attendees to briefly describe business plans or summarize business models, then he will describe how to transform these plans from push to pull. So, be prepared to summarize your business concept and interact with David as he constructs your roadmap to the future.

A Global Status Update about Creative Commons

With a global representation of jurisdictions, businesses such as Google, Microsoft and SoundCloud dependent upon Creative Commons legal tools, artists in Hong Kong licensing music under CC licenses, China-based Modern Media's Get It Louder festival, the Whitehouse and Al Jazeera all using Creative Commons licenses, what is left to do? This talk provides a status update of Creative Commons projects, current legal issues like can you license a status update, problems being solved with patents, and how it all relates to the folks in attendance at the conference.
